+ taxes 6%? $2400 on a $40k vehicle The only other thing I can think of is to trade in the car to pay less tax trick...but I think that will save at most $1k, which is what the local dealer wants to do this anyway...ripoff, I think. I guess if I had to delete an option or two, it would be the nav system and the premium sound system, perhaps the sunroof...thats $4k right there. I might be better off spending the money on the sound system aftermarket as I'm not to impressed with most factory systems.
