Subject: Fikse FM10s and Bridgestone S-02's

The Fiske FM10's arrived today (finally!). For those of you awaiting the fitment results here they are:

Wheel Size: 17" x 8.5" 37.7 mm offset
Tire Size: Bridgestone S-02 245/40/17
Fitment: E36 '95 M3 lowered with H&R Sports Springs, Bilstein Sports, Dinan Camber Plates (street) on the front.
Notes: Rear fenders were already slightly rolled to the 90 degree horizontal lip. Set up with -2 degrees neg. camber in the rear.

Do they fit? Barely. We're talking the thickness-of-business-cards-barely. But they fit and do not rub with two adults in the car and we pushed the car pretty hard on some high and low speed corners. Spring perches clear in the front. Rears clear the outer fenders. Your fitment may vary depending on the degree of negative camber you are carrying, particularly in the rear. You will have to most certainly roll the small lip in the rear for the clearance, but do not need to roll the 90 degree horizontal edge. These are so tight, I would imagine that different brands of tires would vary the results as well. The safe bet would be to run a 235 instead of the 245 tire.

S-02's seem to be pretty nice and have a killer looks tread pattern. Smooth and grippy. Hard to tell if they are better or worse than the MXX3 'cause its 33 degrees outside and no hi-po tire is real happy at that temp.

Fikses are drop dead gorgeous. Make my BBS RC's look like plastic wheel covers from Wal-Mart (no - I ain't selling the RC's - dem's da track wheels). Sell your kids if you have to, and get some while they are still on E36 promo from Will Turner _at_ Turner Motorsports (regularly $ 840, E36 special in 17" sizes at $ 495). Yes, that's each. 37.7 mm give a nice dish, too.

245 tires have a 'heavier' feel than the 235's - and you can feel it in the wheel. Not a bad feel, just different.
