Subject: X-brace info

For those of you wringing your hands over the safety issues of using an X-brace, here is the explanation from Eric Wensberg of BMW Motorsport: the X-brace will still allow the engine to travel downward under the drivetrain tunnel in a frontal collision so long as you have REMOVED the original straight crossbar. DO NOT simply relocate the original crossbar to the rearward bolt holes if you are installing the X-brace. The original crossbar MUST be removed.
