Subject: Rear Shock Tower Fixed!

Hello List,

Thanks to all of you who have given me input to the best route to take to fix my fatigued rear shock tower. It turns out that fatigue was the real cause of the failure, not rust, which I originally thought, the rust just came about because so much paint had been scraped off to expose bare metal.

I took my car to Dick's Autobody in Summerville, MA, per the recommendations of a few list members. Very nice shop. Very nice cars. Very nice people. Very nice work. I am very impressed with their service. They welded in the new piece for around $450.00, painted and undercoated it, and it looks like new. I Installed bilsteins and E46M3 RSM's in the rear this morning.

...

Regards,
Mike Morris
