Subject: Cut springs thread

Wow. The cut springs thread sure brought all the engineers out of the woodwork. Thanks for the great help, guys. I know where to go with the tough questions now. :-)

For us lesser mortals, there is a fairly easy-to-read book on suspension systems that even a lowly hack mechanic like me can understand: Performance Handling (How to Make Your Car Handle - Techniques for the 1990's), by Don Alexander. It's published by Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-87938-418-2. If you're looking for a good explanation of how changing those shocks, springs, and swaybars will affect the handling of your car, it's worth the $17.95.
