Subject: BMW Quality
The warranty repairs on my '93 325iS included an AC condensor,
expansion valve, guage cluster, radio, OBC, HVAC controller,
throw-out bearing, shock absorber, lights, ignition coils,
ECU, window glass, switches, three door panels, fuel hose,
brake light switch, lower ball joints, ...
They never fixed the surging idle, squeek in the emergency
brake, and squeek in the console, and intermittent radio noise.
The HVAC controls don't work as described in the owner's manual.
The fourth door panel just bubbled. The driver's window position
sensor doesn't like the cold. Don't leave the door open while
you fill up with gas or the gas guage will break.
Not exactly a sterling example of BMW quality.
