Subject: E-36 Survey

I currently have a 96 328i w/22,500 miles, Upgrades include eibach springs 2" drop, Millia Miglia MM II 5 spokes w/ D-40M2's, 225-50-16 Z, Lots of potholes where I live. K & N /BMP intake, Custom Exhaust includes 2 into 1 collector pipe 2 1/2 " dia SS pipe follows stock muffler bend to 4" dia. 17 " SS Supertrapp w/ 5 discs & pro tip w/center hole reverse megaphone. Exhaust is about as loud as a B&B for $600 LESS & the whole assembly weighs 12 lbs. Autothority short shift kit & Red Line synthetic in 5 Speed & Diff.

I've done Oil & filter in my garage every 3K, two dealer visits 1 wheel bearing, 2 power steering oil leak, brake pad sensor replacement & reset "check engine" light. Have replaced one front windshield 4 foglights, Stategically placed Zip Ties work as good as stock swivel holders and cost 7000 times less $! I've had cold start "Belt Squeal" since new, and the passenger side vent/ac ducts can not be turned off. My philosophy "the less the dealer gets a hold of it the better".

When I had the wheel bearing fixed it took a 6' pipe over a Craftsmen 3/4" ratchet to get the Lugs Loose. I hard wired a radar detector into a wire that feeds the map lights, installed a Motorola hands free cell phone and the stereo is as follows.

Eclipse 411 perfect fit in stock local, two sets of good RCA's feeding a Precision Power 2150 running 600 watts mono to a PPI Pro 12 Flat piston Sub in a 3/4' enclosure mounted opposite of the battery side of trunk. With sunroof open and rear seats folded down I can get $100 worth of crown molding in.

One set of RCA's feeds a PPI PSC 221 Phase Shift Controller (singers sound like they are on the hood). The psc feeds a PPI 275 which drives Infinity 2 way components Tweeters in Kick Panel aimed at listeners, and using L-Pads on Stock Door Mid range Domes. The PPI Sub amp has a Bass control knob mounted below Computer that blows away the kids at the stoplights and looks cool. I'm going to sell soon and am negotiating w/ my dealer on a new 98 M3 sedan.

I can't wait.
