Hi Jeff,

I was tinkering a little with my stereo this past weekend. I can not help you with the MB Quarts, but I am very impressed with my current set up.
Here are the results: (also keeping the stock head unit and CD changer) Replaced front bottoms with KICKER R5 50-5000Hz, 4 ohm, 87 dB sensitivity, peak power 180W
$99.95 for pair on sale (reg. $119)
Replaced rears with KICKER Impulse 402i (coax. midbass and titanium-deposit dome ferro-fluid cooled tweeters, 4 ohms, peak power 50W-ea, 60-20000Hz., Sensitivity 88 dB $59.95 for pair Added KICKER ZR120 amplifier incl. with variable cross. (you choose high

• low passing freq.) $250 . and KICKER Solobaric 12" Sub. (requires only 1 cubic ft. box!!!) 20-100Hz - peak 425W for $250 (you can also get 12" KICK. Competition for half the price but KICK. Solobaric is in it's own class) Will add the mids (KICKER R3 100w peak - $59) and tweeters (KICKER ND22

As it is now - sounds AWESOME- blows the Harmon Kardon option to the dust.
I've heard friends finished system with the replacement of the doors speakers (which I have not done yet) and it really is incredible. No booming, just nice solid thumps and crystal clear highs. I just put Dire Straits - Communiqu=E9 and Kenny G CD's in and it really rocks.... :o)

P.S: I am posting this also to the BMW 318 ti Digest since the new 97' cars have the same premium 10 speaker system.
