thanks for the advise. Apparently for 93 325i, the CD changer power cable is hidden inside a small hole behind the back seat above the wheel well. First I removed the right rear speaker, pull back the trunk trim, and reach in for the cable. Several posters with 95 M3s described it like you did and one said it was behind the trim near the gas lid.
