I just took a look at a Euro airbox on a 95 M3 a few days ago. Here's the
comparison:
The front intake hole is the same as the U.S. version.
The outlet hole (to the HFM) has a 3.5 inch diameter; the U.S. box has a
3.0 inch diameter.
The Euro box does not have a baffle in the front intake hole; the U.S.
version does.
The Euro box has a large rounded, curved baffle on the inboard side of the
HFM hole; the U.S. version has a smaller baffle.
The Euro box does not have the small resonator that sticks out the side of
the U.S. box.
The Euro box has bolt holes on the passenger side of the box for attachment
of a heat shield.
