Subject: [E36M3] K&N intake for Euro HFM

For those of you with Euro HFMs on your 95 M3s who want to convert your enemic Euro airbox to a K&N cone filter and can't wait for Jim's package, try the K&N RU-1785. It has a 3.5-inch outlet, is 5 inches in total diameter, and is 8.5 inches long. It flows 800 cfm, which is more than enough for the Euro HFM. I coupled this filter to the Euro HFM with some ordinary plumbing couplers and PVC pipe found in my local hardware store. When the total package is encased by an insulated heat shield, you don't have to worry about the temps exceeding the rating of the plumbing pieces.

This modification produces a noticeable improvement over the Euro airbox.
