Subject: Re: Door Lock Actuator replacement

I could not tell you whether the part listed in BMP is the same as the door actuator you need. Like I stated before the door actuator runs about $85.00. The acuator is underneath the lock swith behing the door panel. You have to be very patient we putting it in because you have to line up the lock switch with the holes in the acuator. Removing the actautor is not so bad its replacing it that can be difficult. Once you remove the actuator take your finger and try to feel for the latch. The best way to do this is to move the lock mechnism up and down until you have an idea which latch controls the locking and unlocking of the doors. Once you know where the latch is you should not have too much os a problem lining the actuator up with the latch. I replaced the actuator on the passanger side and that took about an hour because I didn't have much of a technique for looking for the latch. When I replaced the drivers side actuator it took only 20 minutes because I knew to feel for the latch first the try to line the acuatuator up. Do not be too concerned with trying to see the latch because you will lose you mind tyring to line it up that way. You have to use your hands to feel you way around the installation.

If you have any other question please feel fre to ask.
