Maybe this is what you're talking about. The separation occurred at the top of the center vent, where the dash pulled away from the edge of the vent. BMW makes a repair kit that consists, I'm told, of a stiffener and some adhesive. The repair looks fine and the service writer told me that none of the ones they've done in the last 2 1/2 years or so have comve back. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
