Subject: E36 Wires for Alarms etc...

Here are the colors and the functions
+constant red bule yellow

ground brown orange
siren black blue

right door brown blue yellow
left door brown gray yellow

trunk brown white
hood pink green yellow not in plug. Find the control box with the

yellow plug. Trace the wires back, the plug is wrapped in cloth tape on this bundle of wires.

hazards blue green yellow lock white red
yellow unlock blue red yellow

To double lock (deadbolt) you have to trigger both lock and unlock wires. You only trigger unlock to unlock however. Therefore you should use a diode to allow lock signal from the alarm to trigger the unlock wire of the car. Another diode should be in line with the unlock of the alarm to prevent the lock signal from backfeeding to the brain of the alarm (read Fry!).
