I resprayed the my rocker panels on my '94 318ic with a product similar to Bumper Coat that I purchased at my local auto parts store for $5. First I removed the plastic caps for the jack points, then masked off the area to be painted. I prepped the area with a degreaser/cleaner before I sprayed 3 coats of the bumper coat. It came out great. I ordered new plastic caps to replace the faded ones. It looks like new.
