Subject: RE: E36 dirty lens cover

There has been some talk about the E36 dirty lens cover syndrome. I recently bought some Meguair's Plastic Lens Cleaner and Polish from Steve D'Gerolamo who recommeneded that I try it. (Steve is on this list and sells BMW parts). W/O trying very hard, I used the cleaner and it *really* cleared up the lens cover. I had previously try simple green thinking it might have been alot of dirt but thta didn't work. I haven't even tried the polish yet. So, before you get fed up and replace the cover, just buy the Meguair's for $10 and you'll be pleasantly surprised. (it's not like new but ALOT better)
