Subject: <E36/5> Side molding clips: part #'s / $, Sill clips

I looked up the side molding clip part #'s for those of you interested in removing the side molding strips when cleaning your car. I came up with three #'s and was not sure from the fiche which clip applied to which model of the car. I also keep a set of eight sill clips # 51 47 1 840 961 $0.30 each retail on hand. When running wiring from front to rear, rather then screwing around trying to remove them, without damage, it is much easier to replace them.

Here's the info on the molding clips:
51 13 8 144 998-Rear 1/4 panel molding, $0.40 each retail
51 13 1 960 054-base/active 'ti" moldings, $0.35 each retail
51 13 2 251 394-M Technic Sport moldings, $0.93 each retail
