Subject: <E36/5> Front / Rear Mud Flaps

When I purchased my '96 328is I also purchased the front mud flaps # 82 16 9 402 979 $29.00 retail. Back then they were $60 +. They would not fit the E36 with side moldings. My dealer would not take them back since they supposedly were the correct #. After a year I found a reference to them in the BMWCA accessories catalog saying the above # would not fit the E36 with side moldings. After I showed my dealer this he accepted the return. Knowing this I did not purchase a set for my ti.

It looks like they have finally addressed this issue with the the # Stephen furnished 82-16-1-470-176 which retails for $64.00. I will order a set and let the digest know.

The rear mud flaps come complete with the necesssary mounting hardware. The instructions are complete and they are relatively easy to install, especially if you remove the rear wheels.

The retail price of the 318ti rear mud flaps, part # 82 16 9 402 842, has been reduced from $64.50 to $38.50. Stephen will discount these prices 25%.
