Subject: <E36-M3> Supersprint muffler impressions

Last night I installed the DTM SS Supersprint muffler on my '97 M3.
First of all, the muffler is gorgeous and looks very well made (to my
     untrained eye).

This is the second Supersprint I've installed. Last one was on my '95
325iC. Both fit like a glove. The tail pipes are perfectly centered. I
am a strong believer in the Supersprint products (eventhough
everything else Italian I have keeps breaking down).

Regarding power gain, I have no idea... I guess I am supposed to gain
1hp or so... I am patiently waiting for master LANDSHARK to release a
chip for my car which should improve the gain. The muffler sounds
great though! It makes a low rumbling sound through out the RPM range.
It does get more throaty at higher RPMs, but nothing too loud. The
muffler can be heard more inside the car. Overall, it is a little
louder than the stock one, just perfect!

The DTM tips look great. They are highly polished SS pieces. On my
325i I had the regular round tips. Frankly, both look great. It is
just a matter of what you want and how much money you want to spend.

     Theo.
