Subject: <E36>Forgotten Tip-Fuel Filter

One final tip on E36 fuel filter replacement. The Roundel article neglected to mention that you may need a 5mm hex tool. This is needed to loosen the hex bolt that secures the filter shield to the car. This shield may vary from car to car, depending on your year/month of manufacture on your E36 318, so you may want to check it out first. I opted for a Craftsman Socket with the hex tool installed..about $5.49. Looking back on it, I might as well go back and get the Craftsman hex socket set for $29...
