Subject: <E-36> Groan Sound From M3 Airbox
Hello All,
You may remember a few weeks ago I had a "groaning" sound from the engine
compartment of my 95 M3. I asked for help from the Digest but really did not
need it as it turns out.
It was indeed from the airbox. It was rubbing somewhere on the wheel well
but I could not see where it was rubbing. The fix was easy. Take a 10mm open
end wrench and loosen the two nuts that are in plain sight. Pull up on the
airbox slightly and hold. Retighten the nuts in this position. Voila!! No more
groaning sound. Ahhh . . . . it could not have been easier!
