Subject: <misc>Excellent Deal on Stereo and Alarm for BMW's

I happened to be browsing the Website for Sound Conceptions, an online Auto Stereo place, that has a huge and well put together website. I have ordered stuff from them in the past and have dealt with great customer service. Anyways, for anyone interested, they apparently have a connector adaptor for the factory alarm plug that resides under the passenger side dash. If you use this adaptor, you can just plug in a Prestige 600 Platinum alarm into the other side of the adapter, and presto, you are armed. This sounds like a good alternative to the overpriced factory "keyless entry" alarm system that goes for hundreds of dollars. I think the alarm and connector together were something like $132 for the alarm system and $20 for the connector. Its some sort of clearance deal. I have had a Prestige 150 in my 1992 318is for 5 years now, with not a single problem. Tested all the points of entry the other day, still works fine. I dont know the URL for Sound Conceptions, just do a Yahoo search...it will come up. Oh yeah, they also carry the CD changer AND adapter needed to connect a changer to the factory stereo for 1991 through 1995 models. Price was $365 if I recall.
