Derek,

Here's what's in the E36 parts fiche WRT differential gears:

Description 318ISM42 318ISM44 325IS 328IS M3B30 M3B32

CROWNGEAR SET I=38:11=3,45 1 1
     "" I=40:.9=4,44 1 1
     "" I=43:11=3,91 1
     "" I=43:11=3,91 1
     "" I=41:13=3,15 1
     "" I=42:13=3,32 1
     "" I=42:13=3,32
1
     "" I=41:14=2,93 1
     "" I=41:13=3,15 1

It looks to me like each version of the 3 series has two ratios with the exception of the 3.2L M3 ('96 '97) which only has the 3.32. There's no mention of an LTW ratio. LTW parts are usually called out in the fiche with a "Individual Series 95 M3 Light-Weight" designation. If you want gearset part numbers, let me know and I'll fax you a copy of the fiche page. I think each gearset lists for about $1200.
