Subject: Control Arm Bushing Installation-E30/E36

Installation of the control arm end bushing/bracket assembly onto the control arm is quite easy and does not require the expensive factory tools. Soap up the bushing with dish detergent (or car wash liquid), lock the control arm into your vice, and quickly push the assembly onto the arm. Twist the assembly back and forth as you push. The part will easily seat into place and begin to set almost immediately although you'll still be able to rotate the bracket slightly to get the holes to line up when installing the control arm back onto the car. You should be able to buy a new control arm bushing/bracket assembly from your favorite parts house for around $65.00 each to press onto your new control arms. (With the right puller setup and a press, you can reuse your existing brackets and save $40-45 per side). SD
