I purchased the car about a year ago for a really good price, it needed some work and I knew it. It had 128,000 miles at the time. (1) replaced steering rack and tie rods (2) replaced entire exhaust system except manifolds (3) replaced idle control valve and module (4) replaced all emblems
(5) cleaned window switches, now they all work (6) replaced old style head bolts with new (7) fixed faulty glove box latch and replaced shift indicator bulb Now the car drives like a dream it is a pure pleasure to take on long trips and great for city driving. Luckily I am in the auto parts business at a dealer and can get the parts for a large discount. When I sell this car, my next will definitely be a BMW.
