I bought an 87 325is with 69k and have put on 12k in the last 9mos

Things I've fixed/replaced/thrown money at

     Fresh Paint on Door        1200
     Repair Drivers Lock        140
     New Tires at 71K           300 
     (Dunlop 2A60 205/60 like em better than Mich 195/65 MXV)
     Sticky Oil Sensor          50
     New Pads/Rotors on Front   250
     
     The car gets about 33 mpg at 80 mph and about 24 regular
     driving.  Hard stop and go city driving pushes her down
     to 19 mpg.
     
     The car had a complete a/c replacement at 60k by the PO
     Also they had the passenger pw switch replaced 3 times
     or so which seems to be a running sad story with the car.
     
     Engine is fine and pulls smoothly ; small oil leak
     supposedly coming from the head gasket.  Generally doesn't
     need oil in between changes but I keep an eye on it.
