Subject: Stuck Antenna Mast

If lubrications don't help (and it sound like that's the case), you will
likely need to replace the mast. The mast comes with a nylon pigtail that
is probably worn on your old one. If it is like the E30 antenna, it
     installs in about fifteen minutes:
     1. Loosen the threaded sleeve (collar) holding the old mast.
     2. Turn on the radio, and pull out the old mast (leave the radio on).
     3. Feed in the new mast, pigtail first.
     4. When you feel resistance, turn off the radio and push a little more.
The mast should retract itself after the initial "push."
     5. Retighten the sleeve.
An OEM mast cost me $20 about two years ago.
     Hope this helps,
