Hi,
What I would do is pull the entire ignition switch. To do that do the following:

  • pull steering wheel (22mm deepwell needed)
  • pull lower cover from steering column At this point you should be able to see how to get the ignition switch out. With the switch in hand, and in the off position, bang it on the ground, the key should come out, if not get a new switch from the salvage yard with key. If you don't have a spare key, the dealer should be able to make you one from your VIN.
