Subject: <02> wiper woes

Wow. You could pay air fare for me or lotsa other guys to fix this one!!! Well, maybe not

Detach the motor from the linkage. One 10mm nut. Use a screwdriver and then lift the linkage cam from the motor. This should be done with the wipers in the parked position and electrics off. Now, grab the wiper arm and try to follow its normal path. There should be little resistance. If there is you have to start working your way down the wiper linkage and see where it is binding. The pivot for the individual wiper can get packed with "stuff" and increase the friction co-efficient. The "stuff" , just like counterproductive digesters, needs to be cleaned out so that things can work the way the are supposed to.

If this fails, email the following people, since they seem to want to get me off the Digest and maybe they have ideas that are better than mine!!
