Subject: Re: <E30> Themostat Housing Leak

Hi,
I had this problem on my '89 325i. My leak was caused by the corrosion in the housing. I bought a new housing and gasket (had to wait a week+ for the gasket), installed, no more leak. The fact that this dealer had the housing in stock and had just run out of the gasket, says to me that this is a common problem on the M20 i engine. This dealer seems to only stock normal maintenance items for there shop.
