Subject: Brake Rotor Allen Screws

Be very careful removing the allen screws from your brake rotors as correct replacements are very hard to come by right now. I have been unable to get the correct pitch bolts from any of my suppliers including 3 local dealers. BMW doesn't appear to be too concerned about it....they'll probably just force the bolts in and you'll have to work about getting them out 30k miles from now. If you go to the dealer to buy these, take a common 8x1.25mm nut with you to check for proper pitch. The nut will screw on approx 2 threads and then lock up if it's one of the new (mis-manufactured) Ribe production. SD
