One additional thought (doesn't that always happen after you send the message?)

Check the collision sensor -- behind the flexible rubber sheet at the left end of your glove box. if it has tripped, it will force all locks to the unlocked state and system will stay that way intil it's reset. Collision sensor is a black cylinder, about 1.5 inch diameter, 5 inches long, mounted on a frame under the dash. Reset button os on one end (top, I think).
