Couple of years ago, according to Bill Love at OG Racing, while at Summit Point the Porsche Club was doing a Driving School when a deer bolted across the track and a 911 nailed the deer at well over 100 mph. The deer came up, over and into the car via the windshield. The Instructor had a 3/4 (open) face helmet and Bill told me the guy's face was like stewed tomatoes afterwards - damn near killed him and he lost his nose, teeth, etc. He was critical. Bbill loves to tell that story if you call him and ask.

That was enough to make be put down the 3/4 Bell Magnum and grab the Simpson LX (full face).

Shop wisely.
