Subject: Garage lifts

Hi Jim,

We installed a Nussbaum twin-post lift with assymetrical arms in our garage about nine years ago; it is great to have, especially for doing undercar inspections, nut & bolt checks, etc. for a car that gets used on the track. Disadvantage: you need about 15' ovethead clearance to accommodate it so you may have to design the garage around it. FWIW the cost at the time was only something like $4,000 installed and it is a commercial lift which will last forever under the kind of duty it sees in a home garage.
