Subject: Re: BMW Fiche Reader

Chris,

Back in the summer of '96, I purchased a reconditioned unit from Autohaus Import Service in Texas (210-821-6167). It came to $191.50 delivered. The first unit came unconditioned and missing the lens. Here we go. The second unit came complete. They sell a reconditioned Bell & Howel model 4010 reader modified with a carriage to accept BMW (large format) fiche. If you buy one, let me know. I had the same unmodified unit at work. If interested, I will send you a copy of the manual at your expense. The fiche reader is paying its way. Although hard copy is nice, except for the ETM, I find the fiche much easier to use. It measures ~ W,H,D 14 x 17 1/2 x 20 inches. I shelf mounted mine to the garage wall.
