If a non-smoker and you really have no use for the cigar lighter, you can replace it with a plain black plug similar in shape to the lighter. The part # for most BMW models up to 9/96 is 51 16 8 119 660 which retails for $2.22. The part # for most BMW models after 9/96 is 51 16 8 222 183 which retails for $1.55. Nice detail.
