Hi Milos,
Do you have a picture postd on your CF guage cluster holder? Am I right in assuming this piece replaces the cubby hole in the dash?

Also, what were the best prices for the guages?

thanks

Hi Milos,
What do you think about putting together a CF - VDO guage kit? I know I'd rather buy everything in one place, even at a slight markup, and know I had all the parts I needed to do the job. Ron Stygar wrote up a VDO guage install guide, perhaps you could get his permission to include a copy of that in the kit as well... It's on my E36 page in the interior section. www.unofficialbmw.com/e36.html

$22*3=$66 + $markup
$79 (cf guage holder)

  • $145 + markup that's the same or slightly more than BMP/bav auto is charging...

what do you think?

Hello Dale ,

in fact I was today with my buddy who does my web page. WE were scanning several new pictures of new CF pieces that I now offer. I assume it will be within the next 2-4 days before he puts them up. Stay tuned and keep checking my web site from day to day.

....and yes you are right the VDO cluster goes into the area of sunglases holder under the OBC. (BTW a perfect fit for 3 gauges.

THe best prices were from BCI (Jim) he charged me 21.99 per piece... I think he gave me a wholesale discount, since I deal with parts as well..

take care Milos

Ah,
Very good point. I understand completely, I always forget about that tech-support part! For my math, well I was adding up the wrong parts...

When I'm ready to get the guages, I'll order the holder from you.

Hi Dale,
you have me lost a little in your math here, but anyway...

I do not want to get into selling complete kits, because I would have to field a bunch of questions and I do not have time to do that.

I will continue to sell only CF int trim, VDO cluster case in stock black or with the CF face plate - the rest will be up to the customer. I do not think that in order to save over $150 it would be difficult for somebody to spend some time on the phone getting the other parts. See the BMP kit is $359.
If someone buys the case from me for $79 then about another +/- $70 on gauges and +/- $60 on senders and the wires & connectors they do save 150 over BMP.
All I want is make about $50 on the case and NO HEADACHES caused by numerous phone conversations and E-mails with anal BMW owners. Let's admit it - we all are a little anal, otherwise we would not be on the digest in the firs place.... :-)

Take care. Milos

Hi Milos,
Has anyone responded on this? I have the Euro M3 microfiche, and can look it up this weekend if you need it or any other part #.
