Subject: Stainless Steel Brake Lines
If you install a set of ss lines and have an aftermarket sway bar, turn the
wheel to full lock and make sure your lines aren't hitting the bar. If they
are close or touch, consider a set of front lines with a hollow bolt/banjo
fitting attachment to the caliper. These will come in parallel to the
caliper and stay close enough to avoid contacting your suspension
components. These attachments also put less stress on the fittings that
are prone to failure. My Euro supplier of stainless brake lines is working
with the manufacturer (Fischer Hydraulik) to update the banjo fittings from
aluminum to stainless steel to avoid possible deformity if the hollow bolts
are overtightened (ie, more than 20nm). SD
