Subject: RE:Jeff Suclla, M3 rotor warpage
Never, never, never machine or surface your rotors. the max wear on
most BMW rotors is only 1mm, so turning them only makes them thinner,
and more suseptable to warpage. the early rotors for the M3 were
modified 3 times, finally ending up with the same rotor for the evo 3,
part nr 34 11 2 226 813. We sell a lot of these rotors, so if you have
the original set of rotors on your car, you need to get the newest
ones. they are made of a different alloy, and seem to have cured most
of the problems.
