Subject: Fwd: Fischer SS hoses

I just received a shipment of Fischer stainless steel hoses and they're much nicer than the cheaper ones I used to buy domestically. All fittings are installed with a 130 ton press. Fischer is the only European hose with TUV approval.

If you''ve got a set of Fischer or Stillen hoses with banjo fittings, please refer to the info below. The Fischer hoses came in quite a bit cheaper than the Stillen (Goodridge) hoses here in the states. SD .

Subject: Fischer SS hoses

Steve,

Regarding the torque requirements for the banjo bolts, I got the following information from Fischer. First, the banjo bolts should be torqued with a torque wrench setting of 17 - 25 Nm, rather towards 20 Nm to avoid breakage of the Aluminium washers.

Aluminium washers are a must, no substitutes !!!

Fischer hoses fulfill the US norm FMVSS 106, maybe look into it from a DOT standpoint but what i have been told is that they are absolutely legal in the States.
