Those are some neat images! I think the car looks quite impressive in
all the images except the second from top - the right rear at an angle.
(If I buy this car, I will always park it in a way that nobody gets a
view of the car at this angle!!). The roof tapering seems very
pronounced at this angle (and I think it is kinda ugly), but it doesn't
appear so in other pictures.
The close-up of the rear looks good. The car's handles are good (and so
I'm sure the car handles good - ha ha!). Looks like the trunk opening
needs a key (or grope the floor of the car for the trunk opening - man,
I hate that!), I thought the E36 push-button type was a very neat idea,
especially if you have a keyless entry.
The modified versions sure look funky. Both the pictures seem to be
somewhat identical angles, but the front of the racing dynamics version
seems more turned towards us, than the hartge's. The chrome lining
around the door-windows look ugly on the rac.dyn's (and you don't see it
on the hartge's!) And what is worse, the driver side mirror, the dash
and the steering wheel are missing from the hartge's version - maybe
they are optional!
Many years back, when I first looked at E36 I was immediately impressed,
in fact many a times I remember thinking how can a car look so
impressive from every angle. Can't say I get that feeling when I look at
the pictures of E46. But, I get a gut feeling that it's just a matter of
time before E46 will make E36 look a bit too old.
