Today I saw the E46 for the first time at the local BMW dealer in Wurzburg, Germany. They had five of 'em (318i's and a 328i). Just to add to the ongoing controversy about its styling I have to say it looks better than I thought judging from the preview photos. A 318i was parked between an E36 and an E39 so it was easy to compare the proportions. The E46 does NOT look bigger than the E36, only a little bit wider. And it is not an E39 look-alike either. The E39 looks more grown-up and much longer.
I realy like the E46's wide front fenders (imagine them with proper wheels...) and the cockpit is better than it looked on the photos, too. Next up: a test drive :)
