One other choice keeps me holding back. The '98 328i's should be out the about the
time my lease expires. Will this be the new E46, or just a cosmeticized E36? Will
it have the aluminum engine with slightly more power? Does anyone know??

Reply:
The 1998 models will still be the E36 (at least in North America). The 1999 E46s should arrive in the fall of 1998 however, so I guess that means a slightly shorter run of the 1998 E36s. From what I've heard, the inline 6 engines in the E46 will be very similar, if not almost a direct carryover from the E36s. However, the inline 4s will alumin(i)um new engines.
