I finally burned my tranny out, comming down from San Jose.. My fault, I downshifted into third while doing 60mph or so and burned the poor thing out. ANyways, while its getting fixed, and going to cost me two arms and three legs, (can I borrow one!) heres a site I found that maybe can help some of you.

Hey yea i got one u can borrow. Ya just gotta come and get it.So are you gonna take the tranny out your self? rebuild it yourself or at a shop? and since it is a G.M. tranny ill bet there are alot things you can do to beef it up eh.May be the same one the put into the hoped up vette if so i know there are bullit proof clutches. Also read my post about the clutch my son and i put in over christmas as you may find that the intake manifold can stay on by copying my solution to the starter nut sitution. let me know ,if you will. jeff

Hey.. jeff. i just rammed up the Ass by something large.. Its going to cost 3200 to fix it back together. Basically they told me everything in there was fried, suspicious I went down there myself and inspected all the parts myself, and found yes, what the hell did I do to destroy it. Its what they call a total catastrophic failure, where only the housing and valve body was reuseable. Hmm.. its hurting me bad right now.. Gonna have to get a loan to help pay for the damm thing. A new one from BMW would run around 4K.. a rebuilt one from a website is about 2K, but installation and freight would come to the same 3K.. either way I look at it, i'm getting a new tranny..
