I'm looking to replace the factory radio in my '87 325is. It's started eating tapes and generally causing trouble.
I noticed that the rear speakers show being amp'ed separately in the rear. If I go with a fully powered radio, will I need to kill the power signal on the rear lines, or is that automatically done by the amp. I have a couple of other detail questions on signal splits for the front (2 outs, 4 speakers), but this is the biggest item in deciding what system I want to go with (powered vs unpowered radios, etc.)
Thanks,

Did you ever get any help? When I replaced my factory stereo with a Kenwood KDC 115S, I was unable to locate the rear amp and had to connect the grounds for the front and rear speakers on each side. It works, but at high volume I get distortion and would like to know how to wire all 4 speakers separately. |
