2 wing tabs underneath that you have to squeeze together. needle nose pliers or similar. Put a little downward pressure from the out side as well. Small flat screw driver may work too.
they may be old and brittle and might break. but they are only about 12-15 bucks depending on where you buy them. _________________ Bob

What BeeJay said... As I recall, having done the same when I had my car painted, it's probably worth it to replace those anyway as they'll look nice and new on your newly painted hood. They're old and brittle by now and at least one tab will probably break. _________________ Cosmo - 1985 BMW 325e, Single Owner, 265,000+ ORIGINAL miles and still going strong! Replace them. Not expensive, can order from Pelican or Bav Auto.... _________________ Currently looking for a good e30 to rebuild

Wish I'd ordered them with the badging. Oh, well. Cost for this paint job just keeps adding up. Is this the whining section? As much as I enjoy the car, probably worth it. At least there's no rust to deal with, only a few dings.
