Hi Guys,
Hope you can help I have a 328i 95 model
The alarm went off in the car in the garage by itself
tried unlocking the car with the fob key and still didn't switch off
the only way I could stop it is to over ride with the key or disconnect the battery
Has anybody had similar problems ??
Also not sure if related a month ago the digital clock stopped working on the Multi information display
Also intermittently when you lock and unlock the car the beep sound sometimes and not othertimes.
please let me know if there is a fix to these issues
thanks

Hi Brian,
I don't think your alarm and clock problems are related however an electrical "event" could have triggered both problems.
Is your alarm factory? If not it is anyones guess. I would never let some aftermarket installer be cutting on the wires in my car.
If it is factory I would check the manual to see if there is a reset procedure. Failing that you might disconnect the alarm receiver (behind the glove box in my '93) and see if the car works normally.
If it is the alarm receiver I'm afraid you are at the mercy of the dealer.

Hi Phil
It is a factory alarm
i have adjusted the hood actuator to see if it helps
but there are a lot of strange noises comming from the unit in the engine bay where you disable the alarm
clicking and wooring noises
Have not been able to find and reset procedure as yet
Are you able to get a second hand reciever or is it all programed
as a set ?
