e36 325tds engine died. will 525tds lump be same??

hi all just bought a 1996 325tds 143bhp the engine has thrown a rod out threw the block so is dead.
ive seen an engine for sale from a 1991 525tds.
will they be the same engines? i.e i can bolt my mounts or whatever to them to make it fit and run and i will still have the 143bhp i shpuld have in a tds?
