I have a leak in the drivers side bellows (dust cover) of the power steering rack. All power steering fluid is gone in less than a day. Any ideas on what is needed? _________________ Make sure your home is

boot, tie rod assembly, PS fluid, and lock plate. Am I missing anything? _________________ Make sure your home is

Once I removed the boot, there is a steady drip from the rack on the driver's side. Does that indicate a bad seal or is this normal? _________________ Make sure your home is

The boots just keep dust out. If there is oil leaking, the seals in the steering gear are bad. I don't think you can get replacement parts for that. It sounds like the steering gear/rack needs to be replaced. |
