Hi! My name is Penny. I just bought my 2000 Z-3 Roadster and had to have an oil change. Our regular mechanic has serviced my husbands 325i for the past 5 years. He couldn't figure out how to reset the oil service indicator light. Any help?
Also yesterday my seatbelt stuck as I was getting in. I pulled and released and it came out but now my airbag light is on. Anyone know how to turn that off?
Thank you in advance! |

Are you sure that the procedure applies all BMW models? Would it be simpler and safer just to stop by a dealer or an independent BMW garage and have them reset it for you. It is a free service at our local BMW dealer. It doesn't take but a minute to reset with a proper tool. _________________ Don |

The procedure only works for the models specified (sounds like legaleze, huh?). As I stated, it worked for my '02 3.0i Z3.
Yes, its easy to stop by a shop and get the lights reset, but I haven't found anyone who will do it for free. As with any DIY repair, if you aren't comfortable doing it, don't DIY. |
